Public hearing records, 1962-1996 (bulk 1969-1996).

Rates were determined by the Rate Setting Commission and its predecessors after public hearings, in the form of items in the Code of Massachusetts Regulations (CMR). Series was created to document these hearings and the subsequent meetings of the body making determinations based on them. Files contain stenographic transcripts; older records also include supporting documentation: e.g., notice of hearing, rules, exhibits, correspondence. Hearing testimony may come from state officials, service providers, service recipients, or representatives of advocacy groups. Series succeeded by: Massachusetts.
